Founded in March 2009, the Okiero Anthony Okoro Development Foundation (OAODF) is a Nigerian development organization committed to reducing hunger, poverty, and inequality across communities. We work to empower individuals and families through strategic advocacy, the promotion of good governance, gender balance, and sustainable development initiatives.

Over the years, OAODF has reached countless households with targeted interventions that strengthen community capacities, uplift vulnerable groups, and create pathways for long-term growth.

What We Do

OAODF serves as a catalyst for grassroots transformation, complementing government efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

We design and implement high-impact programmes that:

  • Enable access to essential resources and opportunities

  • Improve the quality of life for underserved communities

  • Inspire long-term behavioural and socio-economic change

  • Foster inclusive governance and civic participation

Our work is guided by a clear vision of equitable opportunity for all, and a mission focused on empowering communities through sustainable development.

Our Journey

Driven by a passion for service, OAODF was built to deliver real, measurable impact on the ground. Since 2009, we have evolved into a trusted and sustainable social institution committed to accountable, transparent, and people-centered development.

Innovation has shaped our path—whether through:

  • Community-based service delivery

  • The adoption of business-like management principles

  • Creating partnership-driven resource models

  • Promoting inclusive development and civic-driven change
